Psychologist, Peg Neuhauser, found that learning which stems from a well-told story is remembered more accurately, and for much longer, than learning from facts and figures. We retain more knowledge and store it for longer, when we learn through stories. This 1 hour long course will help teachers create exciting, story-based curricula.

Tanya Wright, Ed.M received her master's in Learning Design, Innovation and Technology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. While there, Tanya won the Harvard Innovative Venture in Education (HIVE) Award, Education Entrepreneurship Fellowship and was a finalist in the Saul Zaentz Early Education Innovation Initiative for Hairiette of Harlem. The Hairiette system is a book series and multi-modal reading curriculum about an African-American girl with galactic hair who goes on learning adventures with her friends Charlie the comb and Barbara the barrette. Goodnight, Hairiette book, film and curriculum is built on engagement and motivation pedagogy to help blunt the achievement gap.
Ms. Wright is a two-time SAG Award winning actress who has appeared on countless critically acclaimed TV series.
