ChatGPT was created with the idea of ethical usage that will benefit everyone. Despite the fact that AI can be used for good or bad, the question of accessibility and equity has a significant impact on our classrooms.
This online training is focused on how AI has changed equity in the classroom and its potential to increase or decrease the digital divide. We will look at current research and why it is so important to teach our students about AI even if they have no means of accessing it at home. The course includes activities and lesson ideas tailored for teachers who have a laptop, a printer, and a projector, but whose students do not have personal devices. With these constraints in mind, we will explore strategies to enhance student agency, transparency, and inclusion.
